Nurul Ain Norman
Dr. Nurul Ain Norman obtained her doctoral degree in Aqidah and Islamic Thought from University of Malaya and specializes in Islamic Philosophy. She designed the CSD Model (Children Soul Development Model) by integrating Islamic philosophy with education using research methods such as DDR and Fuzzy Delphi Method for her doctoral thesis that had received the MyBrain'15 scholarship award. She had worked as a research assistant at the Faculty of Education, University Malaya as well as University Malaya Family Research and Development Centre (UMFRDC) from 2013 to 2015. She also had the opportunity to work at Syed Naquib al-Attas Library, ISTAC as a graduate assistant and later at Transworld Business Vision and Services Sdn. Bhd. as the Head of Research and Publication. The two roles enhanced her skills in coaching, publication, event management and mostly her translation proficiency.
She is multilingual and knows several languages such as English, Malay, Arabic, Persian and French. In 2016, she became an educator for Safe Kids Malaysia, University Putra Malaysia (UPM) and a volunteer educator in Sekolah dalam Hospital (SDH) from 2014 to 2015. She has also been appointed several times as a panel expert for several research workshops in model-designing and has been involved in minor works with projects under University of Malaya Entrepreneurship Centre (UMEC) in 2015 and University Technology Petronas (UTP) in 2020. Other than being active in presenting in international and national academic conferences, she has always been dedicated in serving several orphanages in Selangor and FRDM-KL. She is currently a research fellow in the Education, Culture and Art Unit of IAIS, Malaysia and has interest in the research areas of Islamic Philosophy, Islamic Art, Philosophy for Children (p4c), as well as children education and parenting.
