Art and Islam

Art focuses upon the experience of the beautiful. It aims at excellence and perfection. Every work of true art is unique. Art is striking. When a person reads a work of art, e or she feels that this work of art speaks to the heart. It is for this reason that art is “captivating”. When Muslim students take up the study of English literature, it is typically for the purpose of improving their English, much in demand in today’s world. While this is no doubt a worthy motivation, a systematic study of literature can bring additional benefits.
