Muhammad Syameer Luthfy

am dedicated scholar and advocate, driven by a profound commitment to understanding the complexities of strategic and defence studies in our contemporary world. My educational journey commenced at the National Defence University of Malaysia, where I earned a bachelor's degree in Security and Defence Management with a commendable CGPA of 3.71, graduating in September 2022. Building upon this foundation, I currently pursue a Master of Arts in Strategic and Defence Studies at the esteemed University of Malaya, a journey that commenced in October 2023 and continues to unfold.

My academic pursuits have been punctuated by notable achievements and engagements. As a representative for Bosnia & Herzegovina at the Asia Youth International Model United Nations in October 2022, I played a pivotal role in drafting resolutions addressing the poignant issue of children affected by the Ukraine Crisis, under the auspices of UNICEF. Furthermore, my research on vaccine hesitancy in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic earned recognition as the Best Paper at the 14th International Conference on Humanities & Social Sciences in May 2022.

Beyond academia, my interests intersect with humanitarian concerns, particularly those entwined with strategic and defence studies within the Islamic paradigm. I am deeply engrossed in understanding China's assertiveness in the South China Sea, and analysing its behaviour through the lens of neo-realism in the 21st century. Additionally, I am passionate about youth advocacy, defence, and security issues, all underscored by a humble devotion to serving a higher purpose. My engagement in various CSR initiatives reflects my capacity for effective management and community involvement, qualities I continue to cultivate as I navigate the intersection of academia, advocacy, and faith.
