Kashmir Solidarity Day 2024

Sunday, 04 February 2024
10:30am - 01:00pm
Venue: Conference Hall, IAIS Malaysia

For over seven decades, the life of Kashmiris in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IOJK) has been a chronicle of state-sponsored cruelty and terrorism. Around 900,000 occupation forces have converted the region into the largest militarized zone in the world. Post 5 August 2019, India unleashed a new reign of terror in IIOJK, maintaining an inhuman military siege, perpetrating egregious violations of the human rights of the innocent Kashmiris with unprecedented impunity, seeking to illegally change the demographic structure of the occupied territory.

Kashmir Solidarity Day is commemorated on 5 February each year to reaffirm support to the Kashmiris in their just struggle for their inalienable right to self-determination. The High Commission of Pakistan, in collabortion with the Malaysian Consultative Council of Islamic NGOs (MAPIM) and the Internatioonal Institute of Advanced Islamic Studies (IAIS) Malaysia, will organize a seminar on 4 February to express solidarity with the oppressed people of Kashmir.
